Frances was born in Coventry and now lives in Rutland with her husband, two sons, who are - for the moment - too old for stories and magic, and a cockerpoo who protects them from shadows.

Frances writes well-rounded characters, convincing dialogue and compelling plots with just a light dusting of magic. She's published the first four (of five) books in The Changeling Tree series (The Changeling Tree, The Time Before, The Traitor Within and The Bargain Made) and her standalone novel, Bibliomancer, was published in October.
